Aperture Series: View Over Brushy Desert to High Peaks, Very Late Dusk

This short aperture series from f/2.8 through f/6.3 evaluates far distance performance of the Hasselblad XCD 65mm f/2.8. It clearly shows the focus skew discussed in View Over Alabama Hills Formations, Last Light on High Peaks; it appears that it might be more of a lens mount/sensor parallelism issue than a lens issue.

I was lucky in getting the f/6.3 frame at 25 seconds exposure, but the camera hung as it frequently does when I tried f/8 at a longer exposure, as per Hasselblad X1D II Hangs with 16 Second or Longer Exposure. This handicap dogged me for all my dawn and dusk shooting, and deprived me of many images.
