Malfunctions of Camera and Lens

I encountered at least two malfunctions which I deem unacceptable in any camera, let alone a pro camera.

Locked-up camera

While photographing Aug 1, 2010, I experience repeated camera “lock ups”, which forced me to turn it off, losing the last frame I shot. This is with firmware 1.0.0.16.

I was using a brand-new SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro card (90MB/sec). That card had performed superbly in a max-frame-rate test a few days prior, doing 83 exposures in 2 minutes = 1.45 frames per second, versus 2 frames per second for the 32GB SanDisk Extreme (60MB/sec).

I also had at least one lockup with a 32GB SanDisk Extreme card (60MB/sec) as well, so this appears to be a camera bug.
