Aperture Series: Pentax-A 75mm f/2.8 (Mosaic)
This page shows how the Pentax-A 75mm f/2.8 performs.
The Pentax-A 75/2.8 is a manual focus lens, and I bought my copy in Ex+ condition from KEH.com for $159— quite a bargain, especially as it seems to outperform the $1200 (new) 55mm f/2.8 over the frame. There are autofocus versions of the 75mm out there as well, but I have not tested the AF version.
Test scene
The Pentax 645D viewfinder is not symmetric, and thus it’s hard to know left/right framing precisely using the viewfinder. I did my best to frame it evenly, but it’s not quite centered. It is within 0.5° of level.
Contrast was added to counteract the relatively low image contrast (difficult lighting with some veiling flare especially at top).
