Lateral Chromatic Aberration

This page shows the extent of lateral chromatic aberration in the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L. LACA is easily corrected using a single checkbox in Adobe Camera Raw. Many lenses these days allow LACA to be there as one design tradeoff, since it is so easily corrected, and some camera vendors hide this fact by building in a required correction. Not so with the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L.

Lateral chromatic aberration aka color fringing is prominent at 70mm and should almost certainly be corrected.
