Olympus Zuiko 300mm f/2.8 ED

Lens: Zuiko 300mm f/2.8 ED

An outstanding fast super telephoto zoom in the Olympus Super High Grade lineup, the Zuiko 300mm f/2.8 ED is equivalent to a 600mm in its field of view and f/5.6 in terms of its depth of field (as compared to a 35mm DSLR).

The MTF chart suggests that this is the best performing lens in the Olympus SHG lineup, with an astonishing 70% MTF at 60 lp/mm, a figure that many lenses struggle to reach at 40 lp/mm.

With a nominal weight of 3290g, the Olympus SHG 300/2.8 is not that much lighter than the 3920g Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM, though the Canon lens is almost double the price.
