Examples: Bighorn Sheep
These images shot in the Gila National Forest. I cam across these Bighorn Sheep while driving down a deserted forest dirt road.
The remarkable thing here is that this group was entirely large males, with half-curls to 3/4 curls—very impressive to see 20 or so such animals together. A large curl means a mature (and wily) animal.
In shooting the Panasonic 200/2.8 on the Olympus E-M1 Mark II, the biggest challenge I found in shooting these animals is the lack of any “animal eye AF” mode so that I would not have to focus and recompose.
