iPhone 6s Plus: Tips for Shooting Panoramas
A panoramic image is constructed by blending numerous single images together. With the iPhone, that is done with vertical overlapping images; the side effects of this can be seen in the sky towards top right.
For panorama stitching, the camera must deal with all sorts of issues, including exposure and brightness that varies with shooting angle, overlapping images at different height an angles, parallax from camera movement, etc. Some of these issues are beyond user control, and some are not.
