Ricoh GR

Examples: Tioga Pass Resort

Processed with Adobe Camera Raw 7.4.

Note that no polarizer and no lens shade were used: there are no filter threads on the Ricoh GR, and the optional attachment for both purposes was not available. Hence this is the plain unfiltered and unshaded lens at work.

Fill flash used for all these examples, generally at -1.7 stops flash compensation.

About Tioga Pass Resort

Tioga Pass Resort is my favorite place to stay. It is just outside the eastern side of Yosemite National Park. It is heavily booked over the June to August time frame, but by late September one can often drive by and obtain a room (around $200). It is not fancy, but it is comfortable and with good food at the restaurant (in 2013 at least), and it is ideally located for the high country of Yosemite.
