Examples: Portraits Among the Bristlecones

I’m a little uncomfortable with showing personal images of myself, but two of these are so illustrative of the camera image quality that I deemed it important to do so.

Aging sucks, and cameras don’t lie and that’s a bit of a shocker. And I never shave in the mountains, to help protect my skin as here.

As I travel alone almost exclusively for photography, I like to take a few pictures of myself, as otherwise I’ll have none. A 28mm lens is ideal for this purpose, as is autofocus: the self portraits are holding the camera aimed at myself.

(!!!) Some images presented in wide-gamut color space, be sure to use a colorspace-aware web browser for viewing with correct color rendition.
