Ricoh GR

Ricoh GR Lens Performance

The Ricoh GR uses no optical low pass filter, and the lens is highly optimized for the sensor, with the result that per-pixel sharpness is outstanding.

Ricoh/Pentax claims about the lens are borne out by seeing truly outstanding results in the field. I have no reason to disagree with these claims, based on my usage.

As per the Ricoh marketing page, see also the Ricoh GR special site:

The newly developed GR lens achieves the GR series' best shooting performance in the world's smallest* camera body.

This model is equipped with the compact, high-performance, GR LENS 18.3mm F2.8(equivalent to 28mm in the 35mm format).
