These examples from the Sigma FE 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art were shot handheld using IBIS at f/1.4 and f/2 and f/2.8. They show off the spectacular performance of the Sigma 105/1.4 starting right at full aperture and also discuss certain subtleties needed to obtain that sharpness.

Mt Whitney sunrise @ f/2.2

Since the lens shows itself to be razor sharp edge to edge in other images, what’s going on here with a slightly soft Mt Whitney appears to be a front-focus issue from the Sony A7R IV autofocus. I should have gone to full Live View magnification and focused directly on Mt Whitney instead.
