Overview of Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary
The about $899 Sigma FE 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a new lens design by Sigma for Sony mirrorless and L-Mount. Its optical design offers a smaller and lighter and less expensive choice versus the Sigma FE 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art.
At 470g, it is considerably lighter than its 835g 24-70/2.8 sibling. At only $200 less then its 24-70mm sibling, the buying choice might be more about desired size/weight/range and performance than price.
