SPP Does not Support Retina or 4K Display Resolution
Comments on Sigma Photo Pro 6.0.3 for OS X, mid-July 2014.
Sigma Photo Pro 6 does correctly display images on Retina or 4K displays: images are displayed as blurry pixel-doubled renditions which make it difficult to assess sharpness, as if the disappointment of a blurry image is not unrewarding enough. Even the Sigma About dialog is blurred.
Shown below is the same image on a 4K display in Photoshop (at right), and how Sigma Photo Pro displays the image. Observe that the Sigma Photo Pro image is blurry—because it is pixel-doubled. The same applies to any Retina display (e.g. Apple Mac Book Pro Retina).
