Programming the Function Menus

The function menus are another workaround to the wide displacement of key functionality throughout the menu system; along with programming the buttons, the Function Menus allow direct access to certain shooting functions.

Using the Fn button to access Function menus

Function menus are accessed via the Fn button at camera rear. Pressing it brings up a submenu system organized in two levels in small boxes; each of these is a top-level menu.

As shown below, the A7R has been configured to place three key functions in the first row, and the remainder in the 2nd row

Later, I removed the last two items in the 2nd row I removed (specify as “Not Set” and they are removed from the menu).
