Sony A7R II
Rokinon FE 12mm f/2.8 ED AS IF NCS UMC Fisheye
(DSLR version, Sony E-mount has a much longer barrel)

Examples: Snowy White Mountains

Examples shot on the 42-megapixel Sony A7R II in uncompressed raw format. Focusing was manual at 12.5X EVF zoom. Most examples shot handheld with Sony IBIS enabled.

The Rokinon FE 12mm f/2.8 does not supply aperture to the camera, or any information whatsoever. Examples were generally shot at f/8, but could be slightly different, since the camera cannot record the actual aperture.

Raw conversion notes

The uncompressed raw format offers the best possible quality from the Sony A7R II. Some images have used contrast control to open up shadow areas.

The Rokinon FE 12mm f/2.8 has mild lateral chromatic aberration (red/cyan color fringing). This has been corrected during raw conversion in all the images shown here, since for most native lenses, most users are likely to enable the in-camera correction for same.
