Distortion at 35mm is mild pincushion distortion. While it is more much distortion than the all but distortion-free Zeiss Loxia 35mm f/2 Biogon, it is nonetheless relatively low for a zoom, as is typical in the middle portion of the zoom range.
For outdoor shooting (landscape), the distortion can probably be ignored except for ocean horizons or flat horizons or similar. Obviously one will want to correct the distortion for architecture.
