Sony Alpha A1

Animal Eye AF: Tigger at Close Range

This page discusses my initial evaluation of the Sony A1 for its animal Eye AF feature using AF-C focusing. A very cooperative Tigger was one of the best models I’ve had for about 100 exposures—he’s a natural.

I put two lenses to use at MOD (minimum object distance): the Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM at 24mm and f/2.8, and the Sigma FE 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art.

See the general commentary on Eye AF.
