Bird Eye AF: Great Blue Heron

This page looks at bird Eye AF of the Sony A1 using AF-C focusing (Focus Priority) handheld in the outdoors, with a Great Blue Heron.

Literally minutes after I arrived home with the Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS on loan from a friend, this Great Blue Heron pops into my yard. Since s/he rarely stays more than 10 minutes, I was in a hurry to grab some shots, which I did handheld (braced) but regrettably the optical image stabilization was disabled on the lens... but I still got some sharp shots. Regrettably, I had some blur problems even at 1/2000 by the time I got the 1.4X and 2X teleconverters in place (resting on a pillow and with IS switched on).
