Eye AF for Portraits, with/without Eyeglasses

This page looks at Eye AF on the Sony A1 for close-range portraits with and without eyeglasses using AF-C focus both wide open and stopped down.

Caveat: AF-C focus was inadvertantly set to “Balanced”. Subsequent effort show that Focus Priority improve results over what are seen here, though less and less-so at closer range.

The Sigma FE 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art was used. It is my impression that autofocus of the Sigma 105/1.4 is not as fast as on some Sony-brand lenses. However, the results seen here are very similar to the results with the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM.
