Pixel Shift: With and Without with Sony Imaging Edge, ACR

Preparing this page cost me undue effort and frustration with ultimately a less than satisfactory understanding of any way of doing better. Topped off with Sony Imaging Edge software discarding all the settings that had taken me an hour to tweak, and even though I had saved.

There were numerous difficulties with the Sony software; I failed to be able to achieve the combination of opening shadows, preserved highlights and sharpness that met my expectations. This is a best hours-long effort, such it was with the Sony software—but seconds in Adobe Camera Raw.
