Correcting Color Fringing, Sony 24mm ƒ/1.8 Sonnar

As seen on the radio towers aperture series, the Sony 24/1.8 has moderately strong lateral chromatic aberration (color fringing).

It is possible to correct lateral chromatic aberration during conversion from RAW format. This page shows how to do it with Adobe Camera RAW (ACR).

Once Adobe produces a lens profile for the Sony NEX-7 + Sony 24mm f/1.8, one should be able to check the lens correction box for automatic processing (though I prefer to disable the distortion and vignetting correction for my images). As this was written, the profile did not yet exist.

Shown below is how I corrected the red/cyan color fringing manually. At right is where one would select the (currently missing) lens profile for the 24/1.8 Sonnar.
