More depth of field than f/4 can provide would have been desirable here, but at 30 seconds and f/4 with a +3.5 push, there wasn’t much to work with, with the noise already excessive.

Focus was balanced on the large boulder near center, and f/4 was just enough to pull in the distance, but not enough to fully sharpen the far edges. Stopping down to f/9 or so would have been just about right, or f/11 to be really sure of the immediate foreground.
