How about a grab-bag of differing technologies::
- 24-megapixel Sony RX1 with full-frame conventional sensor with Zeiss 35mm f/2 lens.
- 14.75 megapixel Sigma DP2 Merrill with APS-C Foveon true-color sensor with Sigma 30mm f/2.8 lens (45mm equivalent).
- 16 megapixel Fujifilm X-E1 APS-C unconventional X-Trans sensor with Fujifilm XF 18-55mm lens (zoomed to 35mm equivalent).
An objection might be raised that the Fujifilm X-E1 uses a zoom lens. But this is not a reasonable assertion; in the first place this is how the camera is bundled and sold, in the second place the 18-55 zoom is a very strong performer, and most important: the results from the X-E1 show serious image quality problems not related to the lens (raw conversion). In fact, the results might overwhelmingly be dominated by the unusual sensor design and poor raw conversion quality from Adobe Camera RAW (late December, 2012). So the lens is besides the point here.
