This series looks at the sharpness and bokeh and secondary color of the Zeiss Otus 100mm f/1.4 APO-Sonnar on a scene at medium distance from f/1.4 through f/8.

To my eyes, the combination of the soft and pleasing background bokeh and the very high micro contrast of the in-focus sculpture along with the negligible secondary color is the combination that makes images from the Otus 100/1.4 look terrific. Every aperture is pleasing. The way the out of focus areas develop is very attractive; see the clock tower for example.
