50-megapixel Canon 5DS R
Zeiss ZF.2 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar

Examples: Lundy Canyon, Early Winter

These examples are mostly intended to evaluate bokeh and control of color aberrations, bokeh being a huge strength of the 100/2 Makro-Planar, and correction for secondary color being its significant weakness.

The Milvus 100mm f/2M makes a slight improvement in flare resistance versus the ZF.2/ZE 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar, but otherwise its optical formula is the same, including correction for color aberrations, which include the violet haze of LOCA at full aperture and the out of focus magenta/green color blurs SLOCA. These color aberrations are really one and the same, but are usefully distinguished for their visual effects. Improvement is rapid with stopping down.
