45-megapixel Nikon D850
Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4

Aperture Series + Focus Stack: Waterfall Icicles

Shot with pre-production Milvus 35mm f/1.4 on the 50-megapixel Canon 5Ds R.

The series from f/1.4 through f/13 shows a medium distance scene in which the icicles absolutely have to be pin-sharp and yet the foreground and background should be sharp also. Accordingly a 7-frame focus stack using Zerene Stacker is shown for comparison with f/13.

Includes images up to full 45-megapixel resolution.

Adobe Camera Raw 9.12.1.790. View ACR Settings. Camera Profile = Adobe Standard. Color fringing was barely there, but was corrected. Diffraction mitigating sharpening at f/9 and f/13 (and f/8 for the stack).
