This image was very underexposed, so I pushed it up in processing. I left it dark because that’s the way it felt to me in being there.

I love pre-dawn color: it’s so clean and pure, with even lighting. The Zeiss lens coatings perform particularly well in comparison to other lenses in blue light, especially in darker areas. Be careful in such light to not ruin matters by using a warming filter or even a “neutral” filter with some brands— they’ll kill off the gorgeous blues and indigos.
