Ultrawides Compared — Tioga Area

On this page are shown the same subject taken at a fixed distance with each of the 15/18/21mm lenses, to give an idea of how much the focal lengths differ. Some reframing was done with each lens; the same centering was not necessarily used.

The field of view differences are quite significant, with a very large gap between 15mm and 21mm; the three Zeiss ultra-wide lenses offer a significant range of creative expression.

While none of the lenses can provide full background sharpness, the 15mm offers a higher impression of sharpness in the far background, especially as compared to 21mm.
