Examples (Mosaic)
This page used SilkyPix for RAW conversion.
This image is representative of the sharpness observed with the other examples— poor pixel level detail . I would estimate that real detail is slightly more than half of the megapixel rating, e.g. 10 megapixels at most (from a 16MP sensor). I believe this to be an issue with the RAW converter, SilkyPix; see the Conclusions page.
With aggressive deconvolution sharpening using Topaz InFocus ~20 (twenty) times stronger than I might apply to Leica M9 images, some detail can be pulled out of the fine mosaic pattern.
This image is at f/2. In examining this image and many others at f/5.6, I see no evidence that f/2 is the issue, other than weakness off-center, which appears to be field curvature. Central sharpness looks completely typical of what I have observed with numerous other images under a variety of other conditions at f/5.6.
