These examples were taken with my replacement copy, which has just as many autofocus issues.
The autofocus accuracy was hit and miss; the day before I had shot with the manual focus Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon on the Canon 5D Mark II, and had better keeper rates with manual focus than with the D3x + 35/1.4G autofocus! A ridiculous result, but so it goes.
Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn often enough, and so it goes here— I shot enough frames that the random autofocus errors yielded enough usable frames, but not always my desired composition or expression.
