The examples were chosen to show the overall rendering style of lens and camera when shot handheld at moderate ISO, as might be a typical walk-around type usage.

This 50/1.2S is a very highly-corrected lens. What I was not expecting was an extreme rearward focus shift (center only, it is forward and worse in the outer zones) but since these images were all focused at the shooting aperture and mostly wide-open, that does not apply here.
