As one would expect, the 25/2 Zeiss has a slightly narrower field of view than the Nikon 24/1.4G, by 4.15% (as measured in Photoshop). This is exactly consistent with the claimed focal lengths for each lens.

Given the focal length differential, the Nikon deserves some “extra credit” when examining the finest details, since its image is less enlarged. Not by much, but if the two are very close in detail, one should bear that in mind.
