45-megapixel Nikon D850
Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4

Examples: Eastern Sierra, Late Season

Many of these images are focus stacked images shot with Zerene Stacker. The Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Distagon has outstanding color correction, which along with its superb sharpness make it a very fine lens for focus stacking, as is done with a number of these images.

These examples are late season Eastern Sierra Nevada. Shooting conditions were outstanding, with most of the snow having melted off from pervious storms, yet with colder temperatures, pools and ponds iced over, frozen waterfalls, etc... so many possibilities and no postholing through snow to see boring white blanket over all details.

Some images can be toggled to black and white versions.
