Especially for photographers, I’ve just posted the first pass of my review of the April 2010 MacBook Pro 17" Core i7 . With performance gains of 15-20%, anyone looking for a new MacBook Pro will be glad they waited.

But don’t expect those gains with 4GB and a slow hard drive— get an MPG Pro Laptop and things will purr.

You’ll be wanting solid state drives for big jobs!
