VIEW SITE PRIVACY POLICY (discusses email)

See the full privacy policy on quoting of emails.

At the beginning of the email, state “DO NOT QUOTE” if you do not wish to be quoted.

We reserve the right to quote communications at our SOLE discretion if this request fails to be made up front.

We DO NOT retract quoted emails once published, due to the effort invested in publishing and responding/commenting upon.

Thank you in advance.

Please initiate contact through email. It’s important you choose a descriptive and self-explanatory subject line when emailing.

IMPORTANT: include “diglloyd inquiry: ” in the subject

Examples of good subject titles that will be passed through and seen:

  • diglloyd inquiry: comment about Zeiss ZF Lenses article
  • diglloyd inquiry: please add me to your mailing list
  • diglloyd inquiry: comment on your blog

Do NOT use a generic email subject such as {hello, question, advice, howdy, photos}— this looks like spam and is likely to be ignored as such.

Emails sent without your full real name will likely not be answered.

Alternate email

Please do not use this email unless the email above has gone unanswered for more than 24 hours.

Please do not use the address unless the above does not receive a response.

Responses to email

Nearly all emails receive a response. Please indicate if no response needed.

To be contacted by phone (e.g., for consulting), please indicate a phone number and time to call.

If you do not receive a response, then your email never arrived, was flagged as spam (see notes above) or the response was rejected or flagged as spam by your mail server or mail program (hotmail, and earthlink are problematic in this regard).

Some senders send email with an invalid return address (including PayPal purchases!)— check your return address should you not receive a response!

Facebook and so on

Facebook and its ilk are not used by diglloyd.

By phone

A grueling work schedule is not amenable to unscheduled phone calls, which are generally reserved for consulting clients. Please establish contact via email.
