CompactFlash Storage: Toshiba Exceria Pro—Fast and Reliable
I used the Toshiba Exceria Pro CompactFlash card in my Nikon D800E exclusively during my two week trip to the White Mountains:
- Zero issues—perfect reliability, lightning fast performance.
- With USB card reader, downloading files was blazingly fast, clocking in at 120 MB/sec. It’s nice to be able to download 8GB or so in a little more than one minute.
- At this time, Toshiba makes only the CompactFlash version; I was also hoping for an SDXC version but there is none as yet.
This might be the best card I’ve ever used in my D800E. It certainly has the fastest download speeds, though the Lexar 1000X comes quite close. Of course, long term usage is the ultimate test, but Toshiba is a high quality flash memory manufacturer.
