I justed updated my Sony A7R II firmware to version 4.0.

Though I have not yet tested it operationally, the update went fine. The process... is so inferior to Nikon: install a root kit updater (ideally, use a spare computer as a precaution), then go through multiple steps in a crummy GUI—by comparison, Nikon and Canon just have you load a firmware file onto a card, which is way better.
