Surely this image with gnarled log below makes a strong case for focus stacking what with the leading portion of the log right under the camera. What a pity that for the 4th frame for the far background the tripod moved just a little (hard to balance on rocks!)—the aberrated/strained look of the corners is distracting, not pleasing beyond just not being sharp.
