Need up to 64TB SSD in a Compact Enclosure? OWC Mercury Pro U.2

I wasn’t aware that the state of the art had now risen to 64TB in a single relatively compact external Thunderbolt/USB-C enclosure.

OWC Mercury Pro U.2 Dual for up to 16TB U.2 SSD, or 64TB NVMe M.2

Granted, few photographers need 64TB of any kind, but some do, and videographers certainly can make use of it once 8K is being used (eg film industry).

And if you have the bucks, what a nice solution to get rid of hard drive noise!

I’d love to have one huge 32TB or 64TB SSD for convenience, but it’s not in my budget. But I have something in the same genre: on my 2019 Mac Pro I have OWC Mercury Accelsior 4M2 16TB PCIe SSD, dual 8TB OWC Thunderblade, and one 8TB internal Apple SSD).

And as of today, you can configure a 16TB unit for only about $2400, using the 0TB enclosure and dual 8TB U.2 SSD at $978 each.
