In Making Sharp Images, I’ve added a new page with important notes on focus stacking. I was prompted to do so by weird smeared areas today, when stacking a 3-shot focus stack.
Turns out I might have made an error in how I was stacking things that would degrade the end results—for... maybe 7 years or so! Not that it was an everyday case, but occassionally.
