After an all-day hike/shoot I’m ready to get the post-shoot necessaries (download and backiup) done fast so I can eat and relax. Fast downloads rock.
The OWC Atlas FXR card reader with OWC Atlas Ultra CFExpress Type B 650GB card make short work of my 30-50GB daily downloads, at a blazing 1600MB/sec! That’s twice as fast as than I can backup to a USB-C SSD! CFExpress A/B rocks, in general.
From now on, I strongly prefer CFExpress cards in my cameras that can use them (5X faster!). OWC does not yet offer a CFExpress Type A card for Sony but since the whole industry is likely moving to the CFa form factor over the next few years, maybe that will change.
