Fujifilm GFX100S: Severe Blurring from IBIS

Maybe the strangest failure I’ve ever seen with IBIS on the Fujifilm GFX100S, one that ruined an 11-frame panorama by severely blurring only the right side of 5 of 11 frames (1/3 to 1/2 of the frame), but not the left side!!

The GFX100S is subject to blur from camera motion during sensor readout; see Blur and Image Deformation with Fully Electronic Shutter. But why should IBIS fail in 1/3 to 1/2 of the frame—does it run out of freedom of movement or some such?
