Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH on Olympus OM-D E-M5 (De Chambeau Ranch)
Just published in my Guide to Mirrorless (ALLVIEW) is another page of examples with the Micro Four Thirds Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH on the Olympus OM-D E-M5.
This series of De Chambeau Ranch with the Panasonic Leica 25/1.4 near Mono Lake is particularly compelling, even more so than the White Mountains series.
Rarely do I come across a lens that I find so compelling, meaning that the Panasonic Leica 25/1.4 is so pleasing that it would be worth buying an Olympus OM-D E-M5 just to use this lens. It’s that gorgeous, particularly wide open at f/1.4.
The lens makes one wish for a Micro Four Thirds sensor with lower noise and higher resolution.
As for black and white, I include a number of examples; the lens holds contrast beautifully, lives up to the Leica name, and is thus an ideal lens for anyone looking to make black and white images from color originals.
