In Guide to Leica is published a 50mm 4-lens shootout on the Sony A7R.

These 50mm lenses are Leica M-mount rangefinder lenses, and such lenses stick to the appropriate guide, regardless of the camera body used (in this case Guide to Leica).

Based on the superb performance of the Sony Zeiss FE 35mm f/2.8 Sonnar, I actually expect the Sony FE Zeiss 55/1.8 Sonnar to perform as well or better as any of these rangefinder lenses. I stand to be corrected by actual performance, but lenses designed from a clean slate for a mirrorless camera have a big advantage.
