I went back to some years-past material (there is a lot of stuff I do not get around to publishing), in part because I wanted to take a fresh look at the Leica 50mm f/2 APO-Summicron-M ASPH in the context of what I am seeing with the Voigtlander 65m f/2 Macro APO-Lanthar Aspherical.

What is striking is how a lens costing 1/8 as much has so much better correction for secondary longitudinal chromatic aberration.
An old warrior having battled many winters, lies prostrate for weather to sculpt. A cloud passed over the sun, and I took the opportunity to make a lower contrast shot at mid-day. The chill sets in quickly when the sun disappears at 11,500' elevation in mid-June.
