Phase One IQ4 + Schneider Kreuznach LS 80mm f/2.8 Aperture Series: Bare Tree Among Jumbled Canyon Boulders
I thought I would flesh out my PhaseOne IQ4 150 review a bit more.
This aperture series look at performance of the Schneider Kreuznach LS 80mm f/2.8 on a landscape scene at moderate distance. It shows what aperture is mandated for best overall performance.
Includes images up to full 151MP camera resolution from f/2.8 through f/11, plus crops. Also includes 100 megapixel downsampled variants for perspective versus Fujifilm GFX100.
Yes, I know that there is a Schneider Kreuznach LS 80mm f/2.8 Mark II now, for which you pay dearly. It would be interesting to compare the two, because possibly there might be only a little difference by f/8-f/11? Still, I’m guessing the Mark II greatly outperforms at wider apertures, and at f/8 in the corners, though I don’t know.
