The 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Pro is very fine computer for most uses/users. Why would anyone pay another $1100 for the current model? Most people will see exactly the same utility. Great for a college student, home/office for general use, etc.

BTW, if you don’t have a Dock yet, the OWC 14-port Thunderbolt 3 Dock has served me well for many years now—it’s still my #1 choice—I have 3 of them. Works with all Macs (fully compatible and full speed on Thunderbolt 4 aka USB4 Macs).
