Examples, Handheld Very Slow Shutter: Lundy Canyon (Zeiss Otus 28/1.4)
This page collects examples at very low shutter speeds, as low as 1/3 second, all shot handheld with IBIS. Most were a success the first (and only) try some took more than one try; notes are included.
It was very dim late dusk. The theory I wanted to test was whether using optimal handheld technique along with IBIS would greatly expands the shooting envelope.
All examples on this page shot with the Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 APO-Distagon. The Zeiss Otus 28/1.4 APO is a very large and heavy lens. Mounted on the Nikon Z7 with the Nikon FTZ lens adapter, the 'rig' needs to be support by the lens and adapter. The mass probably works in its favor for slow shutter speeds, but it is a little awkward to hold, and that works against it.
