Zeiss ZM 50mm f/2 Planar

Notes: 50mm f/2 Zeiss ZM Planar

For those shooting stopped down, the 50mm f/2 Planar is a better performer than the 50mm f/1.5 Sonnar; the Sonnar is a classic design with spherical aberration causing focus shift. However, the Sonnar has that dreamy 'classic' look wide open that is sought after for some purposes.

Image quality

Low in contrast with some haze at f/2, improving hugely to f/2.8 and with truly outstanding results at f/4.

Description
