Examples with HCD 28mm f/4 (Yosemite)
The images that follow were made over the course of a few days in Yosemite on a photo tour in autumn of 2010. The lighting was not particularly appealing, but the medium format quality comes through.
The HCD 28/4 is an ultra wide angle lens, perhaps the widest available for a medium format DSLR, and so it should be given some leeway due to the design challenges to be found with such a lens.
RAW file processing
Examples were reprocessed in early 2017 for sizes up to 25 megapixels (5760 X 4320, 4320 being the maximum height that can fit on an 8K display). Crops were not redone. I was much happier with the results using Adobe Camera Raw in early 2017 than the results I originally obtained; the sharpness in particular was much improved.
